Cinnamon Rollls

Ingredients

2 cups of Whole Milk

1/2 cup Vegetable Oil

1/2 cup white granulated sugar

1 package Active Dry Yeast

4 cups All-purpose Flour

1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder

1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda

1/2 Tablespoon Salt

About one stick of butter melted

1 cup brown sugar

About 1/2 cup powder cinnamon

MAPLE FROSTING Ingredients:

About 1 cup Powdered Sugar

2 teaspoon Maple Flavoring (syrup)

1/2 cup Milk

1/4 cup Melted Butter

1/4 cup Brewed Coffee (optional)

1/8 teaspoon Salt

Steps
1) To start making the dough, heat up the milk, vegetable oil, and white granulated sugar in a pan at medium heat. Set aside and cool to warm. Sprinkle the yeast on top and let it sit on the milk for about 1 minute.
2)Add 4 cups of the flour. Stir until just combined, then cover with a clean kitchen towel, and set aside about 1 hour.

3)Then, add the baking powder, baking soda, salt, and the remaining flour, stir.
4) Remove the dough from the pan. Roll the dough into a large rectangle on a floured baking surface, like a clean table. The dough should be rolled very thinly.
5)To make the filling, pour one stick of melted butter over the surface of the dough and spread it evenly with your hand or spatula. Sprinkle 1/2 of powder cinnamon and 1/2 cup of the brown sugar over the butter. Add more if needed.
6)To roll it, start from the beginning at the end farthest from you, roll the rectangle tightly towards you. When you’re finished rolling, you’ll end up with one long log.
7) Cut with a sharp knife, about 1/2-inch slices each. Pour a few teaspoons of melted butter into a cake pan. Place the sliced rolls in the pan, but don't overcrowd.
7) Preheat the oven to 375°F.

8) Cover pan with a clean towel and set aside to rise on a table for at least 10-20 minutes before baking. Remove the towel and bake for about 16 to 20 minutes, until golden brown.
9) Now make the the maple icing, in a bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, butter, coffee (optional), salt, and maple flavoring (syrup) until smooth and pourable.
10) When finished baking remove pan from the oven. Immediately drizzle maple icing over the top. The rolls will absorb some of the maple icing’s moisture and flavor, so you might want to add/make more maple icing.

                                        Enjoy!

Crunch Sushi :)

Sushi Pieces

Sushi ingredients setup.

*This makes about 6 rolls of Sushi!

Ingredients for Sushi:
6 Nori (dry seaweed sheets)
12 Crab Imitation
12 thin slices of cucumbers and carrots
12 Slices of Cream cheese (optional)
12 slices Pineapple (optional)
Sushi rice
 Rice Vinegar
Sugar
 Salt
Water in small bowl
Vegetable Oil

Ingredients for Tempura Batter
1 cup Water
1 cup of All-Purpose Flour
1 Egg

Other Things Needed:
6 Plastic Wraps to fit rolling mat and wrap each sushi
Sushi Roller Mat (bamboo)
Wooden Spoon
Large bowl
Small bowl for water
Whisk
Napkins
2 or 3 Large plates
Large Metal Spoon
Deep Fry (Small Pot)

  • Steps:
    1) Cook the Sushi rice based on the instruction on the bag.

    2) While sushi rice is cooking, start slicing the cucumbers, carrots and pineapple/cream cheese (optional).

    3) Once finished slicing put them on a plate, then check if sushi rice is finished or not (if the sushi rice is hard then it is not cooked yet).

    4) Once the sushi rice is done cooking, turn off the heat and put it in a big bowl with the wooden spoon slowly by being careful with the heat.

    5) Add about 2 TBS of rice vinegar, 2 TBS sugar and a pitch of salt.

    6) Mix the sushi rice with the other ingredients slowly with the wooden spoon until well mixed.

    7) Then take the rolling mat and lay it on the table with a plastic wrap on top.

    8) Put one Nori sheet on the plastic wrap. Take a few spoons of rice on the Nori until you leave a little space on the top of Nori (for rolling sushi, make sure not too much rice added).

    9) Add whatever ingredients you want in the middle of sushi roll. (I put slices of cream cheese, cucumber, carrot and crab/shrimp).

Inside the Sushi roll, on rolling mat.

    10)  To roll it, first grab the rolling mat and plastic wrap then take it over the ingredients in the middle a little tightly. Then put a little water at the top of the Nori (where there is no rice) to glue the roll together. Roll it and tightly hold it together.

    11) Take the rolling mat out and keep the plastic wrap on the roll to keep its shape. Put the rolls on a plate.

    12) Repeat steps 7-11 until you finish with all rice or Nori sheets.

    13)  Tempura batter is to make the Crunch. Mix the ingredients for the tempura batter stated above.

    14) Take off each plastic wrap from each roll carefully and then cut each roll in half with a knife (with water on it, so it would be easier to slice). Put each half in the batter and roll it around until all sides is covered with the batter. Wash your hands from the batter.

    15)  Turn on stove to high then take a small pot on the stove top and add vegetable oil filled half way. Take a plate, put it next to pot on a table or other stove top (that is not on) and put a few napkins on plate to drain oil from sushi rolls after fried.

    16) Once oil bubbles a little, put the heat lower to medium. Then take each sushi half one by one with a large spoon until pot is full to fry each side until it is brown.

    20) Enjoy!

Pizza!

* Makes 2 Pizzas!
Ingredients for Pizza Dough:
  • 1 tspActive Dry Yeast
  • 4 cups of All-Purpose Flour
  • 1-1/2 cups of  water
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 1/3 cup of olive oil

Ingredients for Pizza Toppings:
  • Cheese
  • Any slices of vegetables
  • Any ground or sliced cooked meat
  • Pineapple

Materials needed:
  • Small bowl
  • 2 Large Bowls
  • Large Spoon
  • Plastic Wrap
  • Rolling Pin
  •  Pizza Pan
  • Knife

Steps To Make The Pizza:

1) Pour the water into a bowl and pour in the active dry yeast, leave it to absorb for about 3-5 minutes.

2) In a large bowl mix in the flour and salt with large spoon, then pour olive oil and mix.

3) Pour the water and yeast into the large bowl. Mix until well mixed to become doughy.

4) In the other large bowl put a little olive oil on it and put the pizza dough into the large bowl wrapped in a little coat of olive oil. Cover large bowl with a plastic wrap and leave it out for about 2 hours or how ever long, until you need it. The pizza dough should rise.

5) Take half of the pizza dough and put the other half back or use it to make another pizza after this pizza. With that half use the rolling pin to spread it to fit the pizza pan.

6) Add a little sauce (I just use canned spaghetti sauce), cheese and a few of whatever kind of toppings you desire on the pizza dough.

7) Preheat the oven at 375 degrees. Place it into the oven and let it bake until it is a golden brown color (about 20 minutes baking).

8) Once done baking take pizza out of the oven carefully and let it cool then slice it.

9) Enjoy!
